The Swan Inn always
was the beating heart of the hotel and still is today. It’s a place
for regular locals to mix with our guests and the boating crowd who have
made their way up from the marina.
Our local ales have real character
While you’re with us, why not find yourself a space amid the nooks
and crannies and sample one of the local brews delivered by Cumbria Legendary
Ales? Loweswater Gold, for example. Or Dickie Doodle, with its own beautiful
golden colour and a distinctive aroma of American Cascade hops. Take a look
at the historic pictures and documents you see framed on the walls. They
will take you right back to a bygone era. But watch out for the low ceilings.
It’s the way they were built back then!
Settle Inn
Guests and other visitors are often looking for a meal of real quality.
Our menu is put together with care and attention to detail. We have a special menu designed just
for children and are happy to serve your food outside in the summer –
a great treat on a beautiful day.
We have two dining areas, The Swan Inn and River Room both serving the same great menu. Favourites and posh nosh combined onto one diverse menu, available all day until 9.30pm. It's easy, sit anywhere and order at the bar. River Room is a place to savour, open every evening from 5pm and from noon on Sundays. Lights are dimmed and we pamper you with waitress service to ensure you really relax and enjoy the great company of friends. Tables are able to be reserved to avoid dissapointment.

Bringing
flair to fine wines
Our wine list is extensive and meticulously researched, you’ll have
a chance to experiment with some superb vintages. If you want to splash
out on a special occasion, you’ll find that we often have unusual
and rare bottles that may be the only ones of their type in the UK. Where
else will you find a 1976 Kesterner Paulinshofberg Beerenauslese, for
instance? Our George Gardet Champagnes are more normally found at the
Dorchester or upmarket restaurants such as The Ivy and Caprice.
Catering for children
If you’re visiting with children, you’re sure of a warm welcome,
as well as a menu especially developed for younger members of the family.
We go out of the way to make them feel special. Our Executive chef ensures
their favourite meals are prepared with the same care and attention as
the grown ups. Children can entertain themselves with our complimentary colouring packs.
