	The River Leven and Lake Windermere are as much a part of The Swan as our restaurant and rooms. In fact, they’re about the only things in the local area that predate us.


		Moorings and hard-standings Our sheltered moorings and hard-standings are very popular as a base for exploring the beauty of the local area. Bowness and neighbouring Belle Isle are within fairly easy reach, but some people will head all the way to Ambleside. As an added bonus, our location makes the Lake incredibly accessible, as The Swan is situated just 15 minutes away from Junction 36 of the M6.			Our clubhouse and changing rooms have a shower block and toilet facilities. We’re also able to offer private parking. In the summer, it’s not uncommon to see boat owners pulling up a deckchair and lighting a barbecue on the riverbank. Many also choose to make use of the leisure facilities in the hotel or have a well-deserved drink in our historic Inn.
