It's located in a stunning setting overlooking Windermere (under a 30min drive from the Swan). Admission is by donation, the gardens are run by volunteers and they suggest a minimum of £5 per adult, with free entry for children. Look out for workshops and activities.
Just down the road from the Swan in a converted mill, you'll find Lakeland Motor Museum. From bicycles to motorcars and all the motorcycles in between, there are over 30,000 exhibits to keep the whole family entertained.

This unique theatre production brings to life five of Beatrix Potter’s famous stories in a visual and musical spectacular.

Make the most of the (hopefully) nice weather and head out for a run with local running group Jogging Pals.
And don't leave without visiting one of our favourite places, Fell Foot National Trust (just a 4min drive or under 30min walk from the Swan). As a UNESCO World Heritage Site, it's part of a special family of iconic places across the planet including the Taj Mahal, the Great Barrier Reef and the Grand Canyon. The mountain views are spectacular but don't take our word for it, head there for various activities including walking, running, swimming or hire a boat or canoe.
There's also a weekly timed Parkrun event at Fell Foot, the perfect start to Saturday mornings!
