The Swan Hotel & Spa is currently undergoing an extensive development, refurbishment and repositioning project. The hotel will boast impressive, fully refurbished rooms, a world class Spa and a stunning bar and relaxed dining concept.
We are now looking for a Head of Finance to join us at this exciting time. This is a full time role based at the Hotel in Newby Bridge at the foot of Windermere in the Lake District.
As Head of Finance, you will be working alongside the Group Financial Controller, the Managing Director and other members of the hotel team and will be responsible for the following tasks;
Preparation and reconciliation of balance sheet accounts
Ensuring our internal control systems are fit for purpose and working with our team to ensure timely management information for the accurate recording for revenue and all other financial data
Working with the Group Financial Controller in relation to budgets and forecasts
Producing our monthly management pack and ad hoc information as required
Ensuring payroll is delivered accurately in conjunction with HR
We are looking for an ambitious finance professional, not necessarily from a hospitality background, but someone who is
A professionally qualified individual (ACCA/CIMA/AAT), or qualified by experience
Has the ability to operate in a fast paced environment
Used to delivering to tight deadlines with a high level of accuracy

Your responsibilities will involve assisting and supporting the Executive Housekeeper, overseeing the day-to-day management of our public areas and making sure our rooms and holiday cottages are squeaky clean and in tip-top shape. Your keen eye for detail and passion for delivering high standards will make all the difference.
If you’re a positive, motivated housekeeping hero with a minimum of 2 years experience running a housekeeping team, preferably in a 4* hotel, we’d love to hear from you! Experience of using online based housekeeping systems and time management of both yourself and your team would also be beneficial.

Working in our busy and bustling kitchen environment, you’ll play an integral part in making sure service runs smoothly from supporting and assisting our chefs to ensuring the kitchen is clean, safe and organised for food preparation.
