Wild Swimming Club

This year we’d like to invite you to join us at The Swan Hotel for the launch of our Wild Swimming Club!

Join us for a unique opportunity to dip your toes into the scenic River Leven and experience the thrill and benefits of this refreshing activity. Splashing into action from the 7th July through to 22nd August, you’ll have the opportunity to meet our guides, Karen and Dave, and enjoy a wild swim.

What to Expect

We’ve got the perfect spot to launch off from on the River Leven, so why not join our club! You can:

  • Dive into the basics of wild swimming with guidance from Karen and Dave
  • Enjoy a leisurely swim tailored to the group’s abilities
  • Sign up for our Wild Swim Club future events!

To kick off this exciting venture, we’re hosting two free one-hour sessions, each accommodating up to 20 participants.

Session Details:

  • Dates & Times: Thursday, 13th June 6pm-7pm & Friday, 14th June 11am-12pm
  • What to Bring: Bring your swimwear & towels (tow floats provided)
  • Facilities: Access to our Health Club changing rooms, and our beautiful river location
  • Refreshments: Enjoy complimentary tea & coffee to warm up afterwards

The Do’s…

Acclimatise gradually. Enter the water slowly trying to stay relaxed. Allow your breathing to regulate before setting off.
Wear earplugs which prevent cold water entering your ear canal causing dizziness / nausea.
Have lots of layers ready for when you get out in the order you will be putting them back on.

The Don’t….

Don’t dip or swim if you are feeling unwell or have been drinking lots of alcohol the night before or are suffering from any respiratory illness.
Don’t forget your inhaler if you have asthma.
