The Swan Hotel announces spa partners ahead of Holte Spa opening

We are delighted to announce our three new spa partners, as we prepare to open our multi-million-pound ‘Holte Spa’ early next year. The new spa, which focuses on sustainable, ethical spa practices with a concept and design inspired by the beautiful countryside, hills and water that surrounds the hotel, has carefully selected spa partners that reflect this ethos and approach towards holistic wellness. Luxury CBD brand OTO, natural and plant-based Irish brand GROUND wellbeing and results-driven, sustainable skincare brand Comfort Zone will be offering their treatments and products at the Holte Spa from 2022.

Bringing some exciting concepts to both the Lake District and the UK for the very first time, the Holte Spa will feature the region’s first spa garden with an indoor / outdoor hydrotherapy vitality pool, Finnish sauna, and woodland plunge pool, with bathing circuits tailored to a guest’s individual goals. There will be eight treatment suites, experience showers, steam room, a ‘SOLE’ (sustainable, organic local, ethical) café serving teas, coffee, smoothies, juices and light healthy dishes and indoor and outdoor relaxation areas.

GROUND Wellbeing

Wellness comes from the ground up

The Holte Spa will be the first spa in the UK to offer GROUND treatments and rituals, created by Cork-based founder Peigin Crowley, who handmakes her products in small batches using natural, vegan, plant-based ingredients. GROUND treatments, like our spa, are deeply rooted in nature, using essential oils and botanical extracts derived from plants, herbs, trees, and roots and include gentle breathwork to deliver a therapeutic, holistic wellness experience. Treatments will include ‘The Comforting Ritual’ created specifically for pregnancy; a gentle rhythmic massage to sooth the shoulders, back and lower legs and ‘The Balancing Ritual’ to empower and support change throughout Perimenopause and Menopause, using breathwork, cold stone massage therapy, Gua Sha stones, reflexology, and lymphatic drainage to redistribute heat throughout the body and alleviate aches and pains and soothe the nervous system.

Comfort Zone

Conscious skin science

Skincare specialists Comfort Zone will offer their scientific and sustainably driven treatments, which are created in Parma, Italy, using renewable resources. Over 40 scientists, including chemists, biologists, and dermatologists, supported by a multidisciplinary Scientific Committee and various Universities, come together to create provide clean, vegan, result-driven formulas, highly concentrated in natural-origin and high-tech ingredients. Treatments at the Holte Spa will include an exclusive ‘walker’s massage’, incorporating a warm magnesium salt foot soak, foot reflex points, warm mud wrap, use of a redwood massage tool and stretching, to ease aching limbs following a day exploring the great outdoors, as well as detoxifying body treatments and an innovative array of facials.

OTO

Find your space

Also available at the spa will be a series of sensory CBD-infused experiences by OTO, that combine CBD massage oils with the use of sound therapy that work to deliver physiological and physical effects, balance homeostasis and relieve stress. OTO spa products feature a blend of organic grape seed and coconut oil and contain 25mg of CBD per 25ml in three blends – FOCUS (ginger, black pepper, and frankincense), AMPLIFY (bitter orange, grapefruit, and juniper berry) and BALANCE (jasmine, basil, fragonia, helichrysum and roman chamomile). The spa will be the first globally to offer a new ‘Ritual Facial Experience’ treatment by OTO, using warm basalt stones and obsidian crystals, as well as a choice of three CBD infused massages.

The opening of The Holte Spa will coincide with the completion of our 30 beautiful new bedrooms and suites at The Swan, which have been designed by Fiona Parke of Johnston Parke Interiors and inspired by the rolling hills, woodland and water that surround the hotel.

Prices will start from £200 per night on a room only basis, two sharing.
